The London Dental Institute has developed a unique portfolio of UK accredited postgraduate dental courses, certificate and diploma programmes for dentists working in both the UK and internationally.

Part-time postgraduate dental courses are currently offered in the fields of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Periodontology, Oral Surgery & Dental Implantology and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry.

Advanced training is provided from an international faculty of experts and specialists in their fields, with certificate teaching delivered 100% online and diploma teaching delivered via a blended learning format, with online lectures and seminars are combined with two practical training blocks in Central London.

Following successful completion of the course, students will be awarded with a Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) or Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) in the relevant subject.

Dental Course Structure

Study from home with our e-Learning platform

All dental courses within the LDi are intended to complement and fit alongside a normal working schedule. With our blended learning approach, theoretical teaching through lectures and webinars is provided on our specifically designed institute e-platform. This two way interface also allows for ongoing case discussion and mentoring throughout the course, and encourages the students to build experience knowing that expert support and advice is easily accessible.

Face to Face London Practical Teaching Blocks

(For Postgraduate Diploma Students Only) To supplement the e-learning, there are two seven day residential blocks in London of face to face lectures and hands practical on teaching. These weeks are designed to build on the knowledge already provided over the distance learning, and to ensure students are able to build their clinical skills and confidence.  The timetable design allows for the most efficient use of time away from work for the students during this period of concentrated teaching.

UK Level 7 Accreditation

In an increasingly competitive field, it is not only desirable for clinicians to be able to build their experience and knowledge base in order to provide the highest quality of care for their patients, but also to justify this with appropriate certification. As such, the dental courses within the LDi are structured to match the requirements of the awarding body Eduqual (Level 7), and we are pleased to confirm that the successful completion will lead to the award of either a Postgraduate Certificate Postgraduate Diploma.
