The course
Our one-day Fixed Appliances Workshop, led by Dr. Nadia Ahmed, ensures participants will enhance their understanding and provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fundamentals of fixed appliance treatments.
OUTCOMES
PRACTICAL SKILLS IN FIXED APPLIANCE BOND-UP PROCEDURES
Participants will acquire and demonstrate practical skills in performing bond-up procedures in fixed appliance therapy, gaining hands-on experience and understanding the nuances of material handling and application, using typodonts and contemporary 3D printing technologies.
MASTERY OF ARCHWIRE AND AUXILIARY USAGE IN FIXED APPLIANCES
Dentists will develop proficiency in utilising archwires and various auxiliaries within fixed appliance therapy, understanding their practical applications, manipulations, and the impact on treatment progress and outcomes through interactive hands-on workshop sessions.
SPEAKER
Dr. Nadia Ahmed
Dr. Nadia Ahmed is a Consultant Orthodontist with extensive experience in various fields of dentistry. She completed her dental undergraduate training in 2007 and gained experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Radiology, and Paediatric Dentistry before focusing on Orthodontics. Dr. Ahmed obtained her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons after earning an MSc from the University of Leeds. She conducted research on autotransplantation of teeth during her training and furthered her experience at Birmingham Dental Hospital.
Passionate about teaching, she holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education and is a valued educator in both online and in-person programmes at the LDi.
