How to use the LDi Mobile App

To use the LDi App, first download the LDi App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install it on your mobile device.

Open the LDi App and log in using your existing LDi account credentials.
(Please note the LDi App is available for existing LDi students to access content that they have previously purchased. If you do not have an existing LDi Account with a valid course membership or subscription, you will not be able to access the LDi App. You are not able to purchase a membership or subscription using the LDi App).

Once logged in, you will see the Tab menu at the bottom of the app. This menu has five options: Home, Modules, Groups, Forums, and More.

To access the news feed and important updates from the London Dental Institute community, tap on the "Home" option.

To access your course learning materials, tap on the "Modules" option. Here, you will find all the important course material organised by module and topic.

To access your course social group and updates from the tutors and the LDi team, tap on the "Groups" option.

To submit clinical cases for mentoring and to ask questions about the teaching content, tap on the "Forums" option.

To access an extended menu of app features, tap on the "More" option.

In the “More” menu, you will find a variety of additional app features including Live Study Clubs, Notifications, Settings, Activity updates, Modules, Groups, Clinical Case Forum, and Live Study Clubs recordings.

  • To view previous Live Study Club sessions, tap on the “Live Study Clubs” option.
  • To view and edit your notifications, tap on the “Notifications”.
  • To control your app and account preferences, tap on the “Settings” option.
  • The more menu also contains an index linking to key app components including the activity, modules, groups, clinical case forum and live study clubs sections.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the App compatible with iPhone and Android devices?
Yes, the LDi App is available in both Apple iOS and Android compatible versions.

Is the LDi App available in all countries?
The LDi App will be found in countries which have availability to the the App Store or Google Play Store.

How do I report abusive, offensive or malicious user behaviour?
The LDi App gives users the option to block other users. When a user is blocked, their profile and all of their content is hidden from the user who blocked them. The LDi App also gives users the option to report other users or report specific content to the LDi administration team. To report a user or a piece of content, select the meatball menu next to the user’s profile or content piece and select the option to report. Please categorise your report under one of the following available categories; Harrassment, Inapproriate, Misinformation, Offensive, Suspicious; and then confirm to send your report to the LDi administration team. You can also email a report to [email protected].

Do I have to pay for the LDi app?

The LDi App will be available for existing LDi students to access content that they have previously purchased. If you do not have an existing LDi Account with a valid course membership or subscription, you will not be able to access the LDi App. You are not able to purchase a membership or subscription using the LDi app.

My app has frozen, what can I do?
First please check that you are using the most up to date version of the LDi App and update your app if necessary. Please try restarting your app and if problems persist then restart your mobile device. If you are still experiencing issues after this then please contact us.

How do I login to the App?
You can login to the LDi App using your existing London Dental Institute account credentials.

I have forgotten my Username and/or password, how can I reset it?
Click the reset my password link on the login screen. This will send an email for you to reset your existing LDi account password.

Can I choose which notifications I get?
Yes, you can edit your notification settings in the settings option in the app more menu.

How can I stop the notifications I receive?
You can manage your alerts from your settings area. Here you can unsubscribe from the alerts you receive.
