A Year That Ends with a New Beginning
It feels fitting that the year closes with renewal at every level. One of the highlights of December has been welcoming Dr. German Dorgan to the Diploma in Dental Implantology & Oral Surgery faculty.
Dr. Dorgan is a respected implantologist and oral surgeon, bringing with him a wealth of experience across clinical and academic settings. His addition to the teaching team further strengthens our focus on real-world, case-based learning — where students are guided step by step through complex concepts in a supportive, mentored environment.
At the same time, our content and academic teams, led by Cyndy Kee, have continued enhancing our courses behind the scenes. From updated webinars and refined module resources to new practical exercises within the VLE, every improvement reflects our mission to make postgraduate education as accessible, engaging, and clinically relevant as possible.

A New Look for a New Era!
If you’ve visited our website or social channels recently, you’ve probably noticed something different!
The LDi has undergone a full visual rebrand, capturing more of who we are today: a global institute rooted in academic excellence but defined by connection, collaboration, and modernity.
The updated look brings greater cohesion across our online presence, making it easier for visitors to explore courses, engage with content, and see themselves reflected in a community of motivated, forward-thinking clinicians.
And this is only the beginning!
Early in the new year, our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) will receive its own design refresh, complete with improved navigation, clearer content organisation, and a streamlined experience for students and faculty alike. The goal is simple: to make learning feel as intuitive and inspiring as possible, whether you’re attending a Live Study Club or revisiting a lecture in your own time.

Live Study Clubs: Learning in Motion
Another highlight this month has been the ongoing success of our Live Study Clubs (LSCs).
These interactive sessions continue to grow in popularity, with 352 attendees across four sessions in November. That’s hundreds of dentists coming together from different time zones, sharing experiences, and learning collaboratively in real time.
The format has become a cornerstone of the LDi experience, an environment where education feels conversational rather than formal, and where clinicians at all stages of their careers can learn from each other as well as from faculty.
For those who haven’t joined yet, the upcoming January LSCs are a great way to start the new year on a high note. Whether you’re enrolled in Orthodontics, Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry, or Implantology & Oral Surgery, there’s something valuable in every session.
Looking Ahead to 2026
While the festive season may signal a pause for some, our focus is already on the year ahead. The next postgraduate cohort begins 30 January 2026, and there’s still time to join.
Dentists who enrol now gain immediate access to the Fundamentals Module, a structured pre-course experience that helps students begin their learning journey before formal teaching starts. It’s the ideal way to ease into study, refresh key clinical knowledge, and become familiar with the VLE environment.
Through the Fundamentals Module, new students can:
