Halloween may be the one day a year when it’s perfectly acceptable for dentists to hand out sweets… though even then, the thought of haunting cavities probably means most of us still can’t quite bring ourselves to do it.
Jokes aside, October has brought a wonderful mix of progress and new beginnings at the London Dental Institute.
Our newest cohort has settled into study, our faculty continues to grow, and there are exciting developments across all three Diploma programmes. Here’s a look at what’s been happening this month at the LDi.
What’s New in Our Courses
Over the past month, our academic and content teams have been hard at work developing fresh resources and expanding the faculty. Two new webinars are currently in production and will be released soon:
- Dr. Rafael Beolchi: Advanced Class III and IV Composite Restorations
- Dr. Krishan Davda: Introduction to Digital Dentistry
Students can look forward to seeing these new materials appear on the VLE in the coming weeks.
We’re also delighted to welcome several new lecturers to the LDi community: Dr. Krishan Davda, Dr. Avi Patel, Dr. Sunny Gill, Dr. Stefano Stea, Dr. George Pynadath, Dr. German Dorgan, and Dr. Jessica Latimer.
Their collective experience across restorative, digital, and surgical dentistry adds even greater depth and expertise to our teaching programmes.

Our First Online Short Course: Complete Composites!
A particularly exciting milestone this month is the launch of the waitlist for our first-ever online short course: Complete Composites.
This four-week course can be joined at any time and includes a full year of access to all learning materials. Drawing on the same practical principles taught within the Diploma in Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry, the course offers concise, hands-on learning focused on everyday clinical cases.
It’s ideal for dentists who want to refine their composite artistry, enhance aesthetic outcomes, and strengthen their confidence in restorative techniques, especially those unable to commit to a full-length diploma.
Dentists interested in joining the first intake can now register their interest via the waitlist.
Feedback from the Fundamentals Module
In September, new students began their journey with the Fundamentals Module, an introductory learning experience designed to recap essential disciplines and help participants get the most from their Diploma.
Students have already shared excellent feedback:

Looking Ahead
With new webinars in progress, an expanded faculty, and the upcoming release of the Complete Composites short course, there’s much to look forward to as we move through autumn.
For those considering postgraduate study, enrolment remains open across the three diploma programmes. Joining now provides immediate access to the Fundamentals Module and entry into the LDi learning community.
In January, the postgraduate diplomas will open again for new cohorts, each offering a structured, flexible path to strengthen clinical capability and confidence alongside daily practice.
