Of course, it’s the lead up to Christmas with the anticipation of the holidays in the air. Yet there’s also a keen sense of finality; a feeling that as the new year draws to a close, it’s time to reflect on our goals and lay the groundwork for a happy new year to come.
For us at the LDi this month, we’ve been building on this momentum.
After over a year of planning and hard work, we launched our newest Diploma in Dental Implantology & Oral Surgery this week, and we’re ready to welcome a new cohort of students in January on three courses for the first time ever.
In this monthly round-up, we’re diving into our latest course, plus spotlighting a popular module from our Diploma in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, and catching up on online events happening this week.
🎉Announcing: The Diploma in Dental Implantology & Oral Surgery
It’s finally here! On Monday, we opened the doors to our newest Diploma, a UK-accredited Level 7 qualification designed to help you master implant treatments with confidence.
We’ve designed this 12-month online programme as a deep dive into the essential and advanced concepts of dental implantology and oral surgery.
On the course, students will gain a thorough understanding of treatment planning, surgical techniques, and patient management — plus 1:1 case support so you can accept patients right away.
The curriculum covers key areas such as foundational principles of implantology, advanced surgical procedures, and managing complex clinical cases, all taught by our wonderful, global faculty.

Module Spotlight: Advanced Orthodontic Treatment
On all three of our Diplomas, it’s the quality of the teaching that makes them exceptional.
One of our most popular modules on the Orthodontics Diploma is on advanced orthodontic treatment.
The module delves into the management of impacted teeth and hypodontia and explores the complexities and innovative approaches involved in treating these conditions.
Students must be able to utilise the latest techniques and tools available in the field to guarantee the best possible outcomes for their patients. 1:1 case support via the VLE also means practicing dentists on the Diploma can accept new patients immediately and gain first-hand experience with advanced orthodontic treatments as they study.
